Don’t Worry! ¡No Te Preocupes!
Andy Señor Jr. was invited by Scholastic to write a story for their Our Voices series, and the result was Don’t Worry! ¡No Te Preocupes!, a bilingual tale that celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. In this heartfelt story, Andrés is worried about his upcoming project for Hispanic Heritage Month. He wants to honor his Cuban heritage but feels uncertain about where to begin. As he navigates this challenge, Andrés embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning to celebrate his culture and share it with others. Illustrated by Diana Castillo, the story is told in both English and Spanish, making it accessible and engaging for diverse readers.
Don’t Worry! ¡No Te Preocupes! is part of the Our Voices: School & Friends (Multiple-Copy Set), a collection of 10 multicultural stories that highlight empathy, inclusion, and friendship. Focused on school experiences and relationships, the series provides relatable narratives that celebrate diversity while enhancing reading skills and fostering cultural understanding—an ideal addition to classrooms and libraries everywhere.
