Tick, Tick... Boom!

Andy’s directorial work includes a celebrated production of Jonathan Larson’s Tick, Tick... Boom! in Tokyo, Japan, for TOHO, starring Japanese pop celebrities Kota Yabu, Ayaka Umeda, and Keita Richard Kusama. The production featured costumes by Angela Wendt, the original costume designer for RENT and a close collaborator of Jonathan Larson, adding an authentic connection to Larson’s legacy. Emmy Award-winning choreographer Karla Puno Garcia brought her dynamic vision to the production, creating an exhilarating and heartfelt celebration that resonated deeply with Japanese audiences.

At Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Miami, Andy directed another acclaimed production of Tick, Tick... Boom!with a stellar cast featuring Broadway veteran Adam Kantor as Jon, María Bilbao, fresh off the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd as Johanna, as Susan, and South Florida favorite Nate Promkul as Michael. Partnering again with Emmy Award-winning choreographer Karla Puno Garcia, the Miami production earned widespread praise for its inventive staging and emotional depth.
